2.3TWO CAMERAS AT ONCE
Dual capture
Front and back, written as two files.
Both cameras run at the same time and produce two separate clips: the scene in front of you, and whoever is dealing with the person holding the phone. The screen stays dark throughout.

DISPLAY OFF
Two cameras, two clips
Dual capture runs the front and rear cameras at once and writes two separate files rather than a picture-in-picture composite. You keep full-resolution footage of both, and you decide afterwards which one matters.
Usually it is both, and for different reasons. The rear clip is the story. The front clip is who was standing over you while you filmed it, what they said, and whether the account they give later matches what the camera saw.
It behaves like the rest of the app
Nothing appears on screen during dual capture, haptics still confirm the start and the stop, and your save destination still applies, whether that is Photos, the Face ID vault, or both at once.
